Moving a Billiard table is never an easy task, recently St Aubin's Institute was gifted a table by an old members family. The club members had to remove the table from its old home and some how manoeuvre it up to the first floor of the gervaise le Gros Centre. These photos show how the task was accomplished.

To all Snooker players.
As you may be aware at this weeks JBSA AGM a proposition was made that the 2nd and 3rd Division snooker leagues be amalgamated, some players would be handicapped and teams could choose between Tuesday or Friday nights to play their home games. A copy of this proposition is attached.
Following lengthy discussion it was decided to hold a meeting at 19.30.on Monday the 6th June 2011 at the Alliance club to discuss this matter further.
We are inviting all the captains and players of last seasons 2nd and 3rd Division teams to attend this meeting, voting would be restricted to one vote per team consequently a total of 14 votes could be cast by the participating clubs and in the event of a tie the President would have the deciding vote.
As this could significantly alter the league competitions I would urge each team captain to speak to their players and ensure that they or a representative of their team attends the meeting. The only way to reach a fair decision is if every team has a vote on the night having discussed the matter with their team.
If a team is unable to send a representative on the night they could write to me at my home address which is in the phone book or E-mail me on houguezjersey@gmail.com
Should you wish to discuss this matter please feel free to give me a call on my mobile 07797 716856 or e-mail me.
Kind regards
Martin C. Houguez
Honorary Secretary
JBSA
The AGM was held on Monday 16th May at the Alliance Club. After the normal AGM business the league format was discussed at length. There being a difference of option it was decided the team captains would meet again on the 6th June to report their members feelings with regard to possible changes proposed by Sean McDonald & Seconded by Services Bob Bradshaw.
David Brabiner 500-254 Martin Desperques.
David Brabiner was in devastating form at the Mechs last night defeating Guernsey Billiard Champion Martin Desperques. Brabiner recorded breaks of 36,37,33,32,51,35,& 84. Brabiner was unlucky not to make his hundred when on 84 he played an in off red pushing the red ball towards the centre pocket for his next shot, unfortunately the red dropped into the middle bag and was re spotted leaving David with a difficult cannon which he missed by inches. Desperques was equal up to 138, but fell behind as Brabiner settled. Desperques recorded breaks of 20,23,25,26, & 41.
Pot White Double Baulk Reports.
Guy Heys and David Brabiner recently participated the European Snooker Championships held in Bucharest/Romania from Thursday 27th May to Saturday 5th June. Both players performed well against class opposition. Heys the oldest player in the competition gave the youngsters a lesson in tactical safety play and was rewarded with a last eight placing in a strong field of forty eight starters. Brabiner not quit in form still managed to make the last sixteen, in itself a respectable placing registering a 65 break on the way. Heys was unfortunate to get drawn in the same group as Darren Morgan ( Ranked 8th on the Professional circuit in 2005.) the eventual Championship winner, but still managed to come second in the group of six to make the next round only to lose to Mark Rowing a top English player by five straight frames. Rowing having only just beaten David Brabiner 4 frames to 2 in the previous round. Rowings lost to Joe Delaney 4-5 and Delaney lost to Morgan in the final 0-6. The Jersey players thoroughly enjoyed their experience and are considering re-entering next year.
